This post focuses on affiliate marketing platforms for digital products only!

I believe you already know what affiliate marketing is, else you wouldn’t be eager to know the best affiliate marketing platform currently. But if you don’t, here you go:

What’s Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is a revenue-sharing marketing. Meaning; you market a product owned by someone, and you get paid a percentage of the revenue from each product you are able to sell.

How does affiliate marketing works?

Affiliate marketing involves four main actors, who each play a unique part in the marketing process:

  • The affiliate (or “promoter”): The individual or person that promotes the merchant’s or vendor’s product or service.
  • The Vendor: The individual selling the product or service that the affiliate promotes. That is, the original owner of the product the affiliate is promoting.
  • The affiliate platform: An intermediary between the affiliate and the vendor. The affiliate and vendor register on the affiliate platform, and they get connected when the affiliate shows interest in promoting any of the vendor’s products or services. Registration on the affiliate platform can be free or paid.
  • The customer: The individual who purchases a product through the affiliate.

Top Four (4) Affiliate Marketing Platforms in Nigeria that deal with digital products.

The reason why I emphasize on digital products is because we have other affiliate platforms in Nigeria that deal only with physical products like clothes, gadgets e.t.c An example of the affiliate platforms is Jumia.

4. Digitstem

Digitstem is an affiliate marketing platform founded in 2022, and has gone to become one of the best affiliate marketing platforms in Nigeria. Digitstem has four (4) co-founders – ODUDU AKPAN, KING LEONARD, IFIOK AKPAN, and UCHE FESTUS. We are working on a detailed complete training of how to go from zero to N1,000,000 and more, doing affiliate marketing with any of these four (4) platforms. Digitstem Review – Here’s what people are saying about digitstem.

Digitstem is a legit affiliate marketing platform and I have tested and trusted them myself. Just that the registration fee to register as an affiliate is N10,000, while N25,000 is required to register as a Vendor.

Reasons why Digitstem is ranked 4th:

  • They’re not free, and they obviously copied Expertnaire.
  • As at the time I’m writing this, they do not notify you when your affiliate or vendor’s subscription is about to expire. You just wake up and realize your subscription has expired and you can’t withdraw your funds.

3. Expertnaire

Expertnaire is arguably the best affiliate marketing platform in Nigeria and the most successful. It was founded on 10th of May 2018 by Toyin Omotosho a prominent entrepreneur. The platform has gone from 10 products, to over 180 products, and over 400,000 products sold.

Expertnaire Review

Expertnaire is a legit affiliate marketing platform and I have tested and trusted them as well. Just that the registration fee to register as an affiliate is N10,000, while N25,000 is required to register as a Vendor.

Reasons why Expertnaire is ranked 3rd on the list:

  • They are also not free. You have to pay registration fee as highlighted earlier.
  • As a vendor, after paying N25,000, they still take 5% automatically from every product you sell.
  • When someone buys your product directly without being referred by an affiliate, expertnaire takes the credit and instead of removing just their 5%, they remove whatever percentage you have set as affiliate commission.

2. Selar

Selar is on of the top affiliate marketing platforms in Nigeria, and the oldest on this list.

Selar was founded in 2016 by Douglas Kendyson who was studying civil engineering as at that time. While I was busy studying for my 3rd JAMB Exam, Douglas was busy writing codes creating an affiliate marketing platform that has now hit over #2Billion in sales.

Selar Review

Selar is better than expertnaire and digitstem. You can use selar from almost anywhere in africa. It has free and paid features. As an affiliate, you only need to pay N2,000 to get access to series of products to promote, while as a vendor, you can get started for free, then upgrade later.

Reasons why Selar is ranked 2nd on the list:

Their free features and freedom to add product to the marketplace without needing to email any support or customer service.

1. StakeCut

Stakecut was founded by Czar Nonso Nnamani (Founder) and Mba Joshua (Co-founder) in 2022. One thing I like about stakecut that makes them so unique is their slogan which says; No registration fee forever | We Only Earn when you Do.

The slogan means, registration is free for both affiliates and vendors.

Stakecut Review

Stakecut is the newest or the list and the best of them all. Their commission per sale on products sold is around 2-4% which is a little bit greater than selar own. Stake has a unique user interface and very easy to navigate. When you create an account on selar, you have a dual dashboard. One as an affiliate and the other as a vendor. All these for free. Something you can’t find on other platforms.

Stakecut is supported in many Africa countries, and you can get paid in GHS, USD, ZAR, KES, UGX, NGN, XOF, And receive funds in Your Local Bank Account – at Great Exchange Rates.

StakeCut has a training where they train affiliate and vendors on how to get the best out of the platform and make a lot of money from it. Click here to get access to the training.

A comprehensive long hours video training on how to get started with affiliate marketing on any of these 4 platforms will be published soon. Subscribe here to get notified.
